  • Paint blemish on new car

Everyone's tips in my other thread, "first new car, first new post" were extremely helpful. I've made a few purchases based on this site's recommendations and I am preparing for a fullblown detail once the weather breaks (I just need one sunny Saturday!!). Looks like next weekend will be clear.

In the meantime, I wash the car weekly. I noticed a blemish on the trunk lid that seems like someone left a buffer on there and messed it up. I don't think it's a problem with the clearcoat beacuse it's on the spoiler too, which reinforces my feeling of the buffer. This really can't be seen outside but in a garage under florescent lights, it's immediately noticable. Can this be removed by hand?

I will post pics soon. Thanks

      Hey,

I would really need to see the pictures before commenting. It is possible that the dealer buffed the finish, leaving buffer burns. But again, as soon as you post some close up photos of the marring, we will have a better idea of what it is.

sorry this took so long, but here's a pic. This one was taken outside at night. The marring can only be seen under a light
