  • Rear window on my New CRV

I have had my new car for about three weeks now. When driving home in the afternoon in certain sunlight I have noticed what I thought was a reflection from the cargo cover. After noticing more closely it appears as a crystal looking reflection. I have cleaned the window in and out and again in ceartin sunlight it is noticed. Has anyone seen this before and if so what is the treatment. I thought about taking it to a glass specialist to see if they know.

Using clay, and then even a paint cleaner like Ult. Compound (may need a glass cleaner after) is usually the starting point.

You can. Though usually easier to just give a go by hand....

Thanks Murr1525 I have appreciated your advice. I tried with UC by hand, It may have lightened it a bit. Now when I look at the windows in certain sun light it looks like crystals in the glass. Is this some type of hard water spotting? Should I give it a go again but maybe with the DA polisher and some medium pressure? This won't scratch the glass will it. Again thanks for the advice to all.

A glass store might not be a bad idea, to get a second opinion.

If it is something in the glass, some products rubbed on wont help.
