  • #16 Wax or DC3??

    Hi all.
    Hope you are all ok??

Lots of questions for you. (lol)

Is #16 Wax more durable then DC3????

Are Hydra Flexi Blade safe to use????

Also if you get light scratches on your car is it still protected from the environment???

    Thanks everyone

#16 is different blend of wax than DC3 that should give you a deeper color and last longer.

A water blade is OK to use unless there is some particle on the surface then you will drag it across the surface. I like towels or chamios better.

Obiviously the scratch itself wont be protected, but all the area arround the scratch will be protected.

I agree, I dont like the idea of dragging things across the surface. Seems like a way to invite scratches.

        Hey,

From my own personal experience, Meguiar's #16 lasts longer. I just love the highly reflective qualities it gives to a paint's finish!!

I personally only use the Water Blade for drying the windows. Just a personal preference.

So getting the blade is not a good idea.

What else can i use to dry the car.
Drying towels leave light scratches and so do shammy leathers.

          Thanks

the key to minimal drying is to sheet the water off with hose. i use the water magnet drying towel after, and haven't had any problems.

As was mentioned, sheeting the water off with the hose will leave the least amount of water possible. After that, any of Meguiars drying 'towels' should work ok for you. If you are not a fan of chamois, and plush towels, then you may want to try the microfiber drying towels, or the water magnet drying towel.

Using a blade IS fine, just give it a quick wash before you use it and it works great! Been using it on my black cars and trucks for about 5 years and I simply cannot do without it. It has knocked 50-70% off of my drying time.

Also look at leafblowers. You know when you think you've dried right under a window or door handle, just to see drips of water 5 minutes later?? Blast it with a high quality leafblower and it'll take out all of the "hidden" water. Finish with a 100% cotton towel and you're all set.
