  • Do you need to wash the EvenCoat applicator for 1st time use?

Hi fellas. I would like to know if you guys wash your EvenCoat Applicator for 1st time usage as i am worried the pad might have picked up some loose debris in shipment or
in the store and hence scratch the surface of the paint when i use it. Another thing is how do you wash the pads? Rinse them in tap water and let them air dry or do you use mild detergent?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Welcome to MOL!
I wash them in the sink using liquid soap and let air dry.

It's generally not a bad idea to wash any microfiber product prior to first use, for the very reason you noted. But even a cold water wash with any liquid laundry detergent, then a low temp tumble dry will do the job. Subsequent washes post use should be warm wash/cold rinse with liquid laundry detergent, then low temp tumble dry. Never use fabric softeners or dryer sheets, and never mix terry cloth and microfiber together.
