  • Do you happen to own a white car?

    Hello,

I'm trying to get a new car, maybe the Chevy Cruze. The problem is I am dying to have a red car, and here in Brazil there is no such option for most cars, so here goes the question. I have two choices, silver and white.

What about white cars? Is it going to beat the traditional silver when fully detailed? Do you happen to have seem a white Cruze and like it? Silver is safe for me, that is why I am asking you guys about white cars.

Although they don't have quite the pop when fully detailed, white cars don't seem to show dirt as much as darker ones.

my opinions on silver has always been ....popular, but boring as pretty much every other person I know has a silver car.

Yea as mentioned, white or various shades of white does not "pop" after a detail....it does "hide" dirt fairly well.

I cannot say I care much for domestics....though the Cruze does look "fresh"....I'm an import guy.

Btw...my kids do like the Chevy products, Camero/ Volt...etc cuz of the Transformer movies....lol

I LOVE WHITE CARS!! IMO, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, POPS like a white car when it is correctly detailed. Some white cars have that "hurt your eyes" look in the sun. Like when you walk out of a movie theater, you squint for a second because it is too bright. A few of my cars have been white, and if I had it my way, all of my future cars will be white.

I've owned several white cars and actually, my first car happened to be white. I have always had an easy time selling my white cars when it came time to get rid of them too.

I'd go with white. When done right it can really be beautiful. My dad has a Satin White Pearl Subaru Forester and it is a stunning color.

We have a white Audi A4 that really shines when detailed. It stays looking cleaner than our black Q5.

I love pearl white car but it tends to turn slight yellowish after sometime.

I prefer silver, but yes it is a bit too neutral. I say go for the white one, since it's been a while since we had a white car. I recommend you use a cleaner wax once in a while to remove any stain as the years roll by. It will be a very gradual process of the white becoming a bit grayish or yellowish. Go for white this time for a change.

I prefer silver over white for the most part. In my experience white shows dirt not dust rather quick, does not reflect very well and reminds me of a rental car. The one thing I like about white is it does hide swirls extremely well. I like silver over white because it adds some flavor, it also hides swirls very well and looks semi exotic. That being said different cars will look better in white than other cars. Same with silver. If I had a white car i would tint the windows and get black rims.

Have a Satin White Pearl Impreza, looks incredible when clean. Pearl whites are stunning when clean/detailed. (But look awful when neglected, dont ask how I know) Flat (non-metallic) whites have a certain "wow" to them as well when clean, a good sealant can give them that appealing "wrapped in plastic" look.
