black car with swirl marks,what steps?

Hi,
I am from cyprus and i own a honda civic black colour with awful paint job.i try using cut compound from meg with red foad pad and then swirl x but the swirls are still there y? What shall i use?

Can you say a bit more about which compound it was, what machine you were using, was it a Meguiars red pad?

What was your technique like?

First i use meguiars clay bar , then meguiars m105 with meg red buff and this did not removed swirl marks and i used swirl x with yellow buff on dual action polisher but this still did not removed swirls.why is that?shall i use something else?

Are you working it to fast? take one section at the time and go over it slowly like 6 passes with 105 and yellow pad.

Speed is at 1500 rpm.and is only one section at a time.is there any specific time to use the products,for example i use m105,swirl x, swirl free polish.but i also tried with ultimate compound and corection compound,paint gets cleaned and shine but swirls are there.also what buff is necessary to use with swirl x?

Oh and are you using a rotary buffer or a dual action? Original paint or a repaint? What year is the car?

For the compound i am using rotary but for the swirlx dual action.car is repaint and year 99 but repainted 2 years ago

It's on my Honda S2000... to have a look at the "before and after" pics, go to the last post on that thread and you'll see a imgur.com link to my album.

Used a Random Orbit sander at highest setting, UC with LCC White polishing pad, followed by UP with LCC White pad.
Took many passes with the UC, but was trying to get the deeper scratches out. All the swirls etc were gone. So happy with the results!
