  • Best Product for a Red Chevy Silverado

    Hi everyone.

I have a Red Chevy Silverado that has some swirl marks and minor chipping and pitting all over the body. I am really looking to clean it up as best as possible and I am wondering which product would be best for that. I use a off brand random orbiter to buff and polish.

Also would like thoughts on which Wax provides that best protection because I do a lot of driving on dirt roads and the truck gets filthy by the week.

Well, the swirl marks should be pretty easy to deal with - start with our 5 Step Paint Care Cycle - but the chips and pitting are another story. The chips generally require a bit of touch up paint and a lot of patience, while fine pitting is usually associated with the paint basically being sand blasted over time and there really isn't much of anything you can do about them. Those swirls should be pretty easy to deal with using Ultimate Compound either by habnd or with your buffer, though a Silverado presents a heck of a lot of paint to deal with strictly by hand!

As for wax, our new Ultimate Wax is our longest lasting, best protecting product so it should probably be your first choice.
