What is the difference between a dual action polisher and a random orbital polisher? When would one be preferred over the other?

What is the difference between NXT Glass Cleaner and the Pro line Glass Cleaner Concentrate?

    Re: Glass and Polishers

Are you asking because you have heard the terms "DA" & "RO" being used around here?

As for the window cleaner, They are both very similar but the Concentrate is obviously more economical.

Unfortunately there isn't a hard and fast rule to define which is which. The distinction is more "common usage" than a formal definition. Both use the same type of motion, power driven orbits with free spinning rotation.

But as a general rule of thumb, around here the term RO is usually used in reference to the larger, slower, lower powered, mostly consumer oriented polishers. And the term DA is used for the more powerful, professional, variable speed machines.

But while the detailing world commonly calls call the PC7424 family of machines DA, Porter-Cable calls them RO.
