  • What to use to polish stainless???

I have never done much with stainless. I have a friend with a '61 corvette. Needless to say the stainless is old and has many marks, scratches, etc. What is the best product to use to clean old stainless? If I use a small DA buffer, which pad would be the best? Would this be a two step process, one for agressive cleaner and one for final polich or would it be an all in one process? Thanks.

I used Ultimate compound with yellow pad with great results. Do a test spot first.Depends and how bad the scratches are you might need something more aggressive.

I have never polished stainless on a vehicle, but I have always used Flitz paste for stainless.

I have also used Flitz with success. Thanks for the tip on UC. Anyone else have any experience with stainless?
