Re: Need microfiber
Not so much country as it is manufacturer but it is generally true that the best microfiber is Korean.
Meguiars Supreme Shines are great towels and not over-priced.Tedrow's Detailing

First let me say, removing thinly applied Meguiar's wax is not difficult. However, I like to fold and refold the towel often and expose more fresh faces of the towel when removing the first coat of wax. The Supreme Shine towel is larger, so it provides a lot of surface area. I usually have one in each hand, rotating them into my dominate right hand for wiping.
The second coat of wax comes off easier (perception, perhaps not reality) and I don't need the larger towels. Ultimate Wipes work great. The smaller, thinner towel works well for touch up around badges and logos too.
I suppose the truth is I get tired and the smaller, lighter towel isn't as heavy for the last step.

Re: Need microfiber
My quirk is to do the initial wipe with UW and follow that up with a SS, I don't think it's really a quirk but it's what works best for me. Refolded on both after every panel or two. I only use UW and SS on LSP's, compounds and polishes get the auto store MF's. I never had a major issue with them, it's just I know the Megs towels are going to do an excellent job with getting the last step done right! Plus being on a tight budget, I can't really afford to spend on 20-30 UW's and SS towels. For those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.
