  • Detail job interrupted by rain

The other day I clayed my Jeep and then applied a coat of cleaner wax. Yesterday I decided to apply ultimate compound on the whole vehicle. I used a cheap orbital buffer and am very happy with the results. I followed this with a coat of cleaner wax. My plan was to add a coat of ultimate wax today. However, it's been raining all day. Now I won't be able to finish the job until this coming weekend. Can I just do a coat of ultimate wax this weekend or should I first do another coat of cleaner wax?

Well wash first of course, then give the surface a good look over/feeling. If it seems to be in good shape still, not rough or anything, then just waxing would be ok.
