  • Satin Silver Metallic and the Ultimate Line.

I've been using the Ultimate line for my '10 Royal Blue Metallic Accord and I love the results! I've always been a Megs guy and I just love this stuff.

I just bought a 04 Satin Silver Metallic Accord and was wondering if I can use these products on this car as well. I noticed on the back of the compound, polish and wax, it says not for satin finishes. Would this apply for my paint? If so, what would you recommend for waxing this color car?

    Thanks,
    Rich

We have a 2000 Accord in what I think is a fairly similar color. Here is my writeup on it:

I have a alabaster silver metallic which is almost the same as SSM. I used M205 but it's very close to Ultimate polish so the results might be similar. Please check out my thread:

The satin means the flat/low gloss paints that some peole get these days.

Unless we're mistaken, the "Satin" in the color name of your '04 Accord is simply part of the color name and not an indicator that this is a true satin or matte finish. You still see nice bright and crisp reflections in the paint, right? If so, it's not a true satin or matte finish. It's rare to find that type of finish on a factory car, and those tend to be very, very new (like the past couple of years) and we aren't aware of Honda ever offering such a finish on the Accord.

The same products you've been using are fine to use on this car as well.
