  • New car -- how best to protect?

I'm picking up a new Traverse today. It's got leather. I've got two kids; one's 3-1/2, one's 10 months. What do I need to do before letting them set foot (and their grubby little hands) in the new car, especially to protect the leather? Any other recommendations on what I should do Day 1 to protect our new vehicle inside and out? Thanks!

DO NOT LET THE DEALER WASH IT.

For the exterior, I tend to go with

    1. Wash
    2. Clay
    3. ColorX or Cleaner/Wax
    4. Wax - Nxt 2.0, Ult. Wax, etc.

Then using Ultimate Quick Wax after future washes.

For the interior, you could just go with the basic Leather Cleaner/Conditioner for now.

The dressing type products would be up to you, but I like to have Quick Interior Detailer and either Natural Shine or Supreme Saround for the dressing.

And APC or APC+ will be good in the future for deeper cleanings.

Don't let them, or anyone, eat or drink in the car, that eliminates 99% of the problems.
