  • I know I am an idiot.

Welllllllllllllp. Here's the short version. Thought I read leaving NXT 2.0 on overnight is a good idea. Detailing someone's car at someone's house and left the wax on tonight. Going to take it off tomorrow. Did I mess up big time? I think I might just be freaking out because it was a pace car...I just want to be able to sleep tonight.

You don't have to remind me..I know...my bad..

where did you read to leave it on over night or did you confuse it with cure time?

I've done the same thing...left in overnight...no problems.

It is something I don't do regularlly, but when the heat/humidity is off the chart, just gives me a break.

To add, I do NOT do this with UWax.

Re: I know I am an idiot.

Recently I watched a video on Richard Griot's site on prepping a vehicle for an important show. Using his "Best of Show" wax and, of course, a GG polisher, he applies a well-rubbed in coat and doesn't wipe off the little remaining residue. After 3 hours a second application and then a third three hours later, still not removing any residue. After an overnight cure, the residue is finally removed. I have a friend who recently did the same process using Ultimate liquid on his wife's red Mini. He claims it's the best the car has ever looked. Who knows? Maybe an overnight cure works better?
