    Do nothing.
I have these 3M clear bra installed twice. The 1st step that the installer would do is to clean the impacted area with soap water.

make sure that any swirls and or light scratches are removed because once the bra goes on, its final. Swirls and scratches under the bra looks horrible with a perfectly detailed car. I would clay bar and use swirl x at a minimum followed with a wax/sealant.

If your installer uses soap water as mine, the soap water will remove all wax and sealant. If I remember correctly, he used soap water even during the installation.
However, if you see any imperfections in the paint, you can clay, polish beforehand.

This clear bra is great especially for someone who frequently drives on highway. I first started with the usual installation, ie: hood and the 2 side fenders. I liked it so much that I went back to apply this 3M plastic below the bumper, the 2 side mirrors and the front end of the roof.
