  • Difficulty drying...

So I've noticed that drying the front end of my Mustang is a real PITA compared to other cars I've had. Seems the front upper and lower grilles just LOVE to hold onto water despite using dry or damp MF towles. Any ideas? Maybe compressed air?

    Re: PITA drying...

I dont even dry my front bumper until I wipe under the hood and slam it down... (well, not slam...)

Compressed air, or a clean leaf blower is also popular.

I swear by Meguiars Water Magnet. I can dry off a full size SUV with 2, that includes the door jams. You should give it a try if compressed air or a leaf blower is not possible.

Compressed air or a leaf blower is the only way you're going to get all the water out of the cracks and crevices.

Leaf blowers work magic for me...plus you get some great looks from your neighbors!

I've found it's a great way to start up a conversation about Meguiar's and the forum too. Maybe I have gotten some people online and reading.

I just revamped my drying system last weekend! Go to Wal-mart or Amazon and look for The Absorber. (After ordering from Amazon and paying for the shipping in handling, I realized Wal-Mart carried it lol.)

I have never seen anything dry like this in my life, and it's so easy to wring-out compared to other products. Once you wring it out, I swear that it basically is completely dry again and ready wipe off, and it's safe for the finish! Just beware to place the damp cloth back in the tube it comes in so it doesn't dry out. Then I used the Meguiar's Water Magnet to follow up the drying and make sure there were no spots left.

there are vacuum cleaners that can be used on both wet and dry surfaces, useful for those very tight spots where a drying towel/chamois can't reach but accumulate water like hell. Even the inexpensive consumer level wet/dry vac should do the trick.

Here you go. This MetroVac Sidekick is amazing. It puts out a tremendous amount of air and dries the cracks and crevices quickly. However, be aware your neighbors will think you are out of your mind when you start using this device. My neighbor laughed when I brought over the Sidekick to blow up his son's pool. His large air compressor was having difficulty filling it, but the Sidekick blew up the pool in about 2 minutes. He ordered one that day.
