Okay, I'm going to be ordering a G110v2 in about 2 weeks(from Autogeek) and I'm going to clay bar, polish and wax my truck(the wife's car is nicer, so my truck is the lab rat). My question is, I have used the Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid Wax for ever and as of the last 3 months I have been using some products from Meguiar's Mirror Glaze line(found a local body shop that sells a ton of Meguiar's Products) and was wondering, what is the difference between the Consumer(Meguiar's Brand), Professional(Mirror Glaze) and the Professional(Detailer Brand)? Is one better than the other or what?

Not really better or worse, just different.

Much of it is how the products can be applied, many of the Pro products can be used by rotary.

The Consumer products tend to be a bit easier to use, while the Pro ones can be a bit trickier sometimes.

And the stronger products that could cause damage if used wrong tend to be in the Pro Lines, for experienced users.

i,ve gotten raves on my cars with using the consumer and the professional lines but i think the professional line last longer. my opinion

Most of the products in the Mirror Glaze Pro Line are designed for use in a body shop environment. That means they are rated for rotary use in almost every case, and with the exception of the waxes and sealants, they are silicone free which means they can be used in an environment where fresh paint is being sprayed. Almost all of the Mirror Glaze products are available in gallon sizes, along with either a 32 oz or 16 oz size, depending on the product. We offer such a wide variety of seemingly similar products because in the pro arena there are slightly different schools of thought on how to do things, certain preferences for how a product feels, and of course the huge variety of paint systems available. As a consumer or enthusiast, if you're using a rotary buffer than many of these products will be almost mandatory for you, depending on your application. But for the "average Joe" or a consumer just taking care of their own cars by hand or with a DA, you'll get equal results with our current consumer line, and a better user experience overall.

The Detailer Line is essentially an industrial chemical line, designed for high volume use like auction and rental agency reconditioning facilities, commercial car washes, and volume detailers. Minimum sizes available are 1 gallon, with most available in 5 gal and 55 gal drums, or larger in some commercial applications. If you're taking care of several vehicles, or are constantly striving to maintain your vehicles appearance at a very high standard (ie, you're using a lot of product!) then some of these products can be very cost effective for every day use in an enthusiast's garage.

The Consumer Line should not be looked upon as inferior in any way, though. In fact, in many cases our consumer products are based on Mirror Glaze Pro Line formulas but are formulated and packaged in such a way as to make them more accessible and more user friendly. Case in point - M105 Ultra Cut Compound versus Ultimate Compound. UC is based on the technology that makes M105 so great, but when used on a DA it won't create as much dust, it will offer a longer buffing cycle, and it will still yield plenty of cut to get through the typical swirls, etchings and water marks so many consumers face. No, it isn't as aggressive overall as M105, but M105 is our most aggressive compound; it was designed to remove 1000 grit sanding marks with a rotary buffer spinning a wool pad. You simply don't need that much punch for day to day swirl removal.
