  • Perfect day for 5 step process but....

So today is a perfect day for me to wash, clay, polish, and wax my new car. I don't have any garage or cover for polishing/waxing so need a cloudy day... So today seems to be te day but its supposed to rain tomorrow? Should I still do it even with rain tomorrow ??

I would go ahead and do it if its cloudy today. As long as you can finish today, at least you're cleaning the paint and increasing the shine. If it rains tonorrow, the next time you wash your car your results should still be stellar because of the claying, polish, etc. Go for it!

So even if I were to do this, and it rains the next day, it won't defect or "wash" off the wax and stuff??

Letting it sit for 12-24 hours without getting wet would be best... But not enough to worry about really. There wont be a pile of wax beside your car.

              Murr, continuing in this discussion.

I detail a mile from home. Driving home after waxing (within 30 minutes) it sprinkles, very lightly.

With Gold Class, should I leave it to dry (few rain drops) or UQD it?

With Ultimate Wax, should I leave it to dry (few rain drops) or UQD it?

So would you treat a carnauba wax different than a synthetic?

                Tough call...

Adding more liquid wouldnt be great. But shame to leave it get spots right away...

In theory, synthetics take longer to set up.

I think "the point" eluded Gleamclean. It is hiding in the bushes.

there is no "point" wash the damn car and go on about your day or let it rain then wash it later. WTF is so hard about that?
