Re: Paint cleaner ?
You only really need to clay if the paint feels rough to the touch. If it doesn't feel rough then there's no problem just washing, paint cleaner, wax. You are correct, however, that claying would go before the paint cleaner if you need to do both.Michael Stoops

Re: Paint cleaner ?
yes, you'll need IMHO...
because clay and paint cleaner serve different purpose..
Clay to remove above clear coat defect
Paint claner to remove under clear coat defect
except your paint it as smooth as glass, you'll need claying to achive maximum resultProud to be part of Meguiars Family

Re: Paint cleaner ?
The proper way would be clay then paint cleaner. They do different things, so one doesnt replace the other.
Of course you only need to do what you want to, and can always clay next time.
You could try claying with the soapy water from when you are done washing.... but it might degrade the clay if stored for a while.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Paint cleaner ?
Just to point out, Last Touch can be diluted 1:1 for clay lube if available up there, so would last even longer.
I dont know if I would bother using a half bottle of UQD (more expensive, not as good) when just waiting a week.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
