  • Bug etching timeframe?

Hey yall. Just go back from a road trip to GA on Tues nite at like 1 am. The next morning at 7:30 am I knoticed literally a TON on bugs. I was on my way to work and couldnt do much about it....

Basically Ive been really busy latley at work and with life. lol
Work I have a HUGE project due for corporate next week and I've just been "tired".

This weekend is busy and I wont have time to do a wash or anything. Got a dealership apt, family comming into town, etc.

So just out of curiosity, how long before bugs start to cause problems with paint (CC)?

    Thanks a million!

Get up an hour early and wash it. Time frames should not even be a questions if you stayed on top of it.

    No excuses!

** But to make one note, your time frame will vary based on how much protection is on the surface, time, weather, and the type of bug as well as the manufacture of the car. Getting it off as soon as possible is what you need to do. Spend a few $$ and go through a touchless car wash, hit it with bug and tar remover and go back again. Should like 15 minutes max.

I do this often when I notice bird droppings on my car and I don't have sufficient time to wash the car. People say car washes = bad because it strips your protection, but the touchless wont add swirls and I think it is better than letting the contaminant sit there.
