i have a porter cable 7424 (never used) and i have 1 pad (white).

    i bought some meguires 105 and 205.

i'm not gonna do the clay thing...going to depend on the 105 stuff. i know i need to follow up with the 205.

my questions are: what do i do after the 205? wax and protectant/sealant?

and what pads do i need to get to do all of this?

    any help appreciated. thanks

    Re: newbie

Your best bet for the M105 will be Meguiar's yellow polishing pad. It's usually better to follow up the compounding step with a polish so using the M205 will fit the bill. You can use the white polishing pad or Meguiar's black finishing pad. After this, you seal and protect the whole car with your favorite wax. Again, the black finishing pad will be the proper pad for this step.

    Hope this helps.
