  • How do you apply wax/sealant?

I have a PC 7424 and use it for applying cleaners and polishes. I have used it to apply wax as well, but not sure there is any benefit compared to hand applying. I actually prefer hand application of wax as it seems to be faster and is easier to get into tight areas.

I myself would opt for applying by hand as well. I think it gives you a more feel for what you are doing but...if you don't have the time then go for a power option.

I also use a machine to apply wax/sealants. reason is its faster and I can apply a thinner even layer. I know by hand I will use more product and lay it down thicker and I am more likely to miss spots.

Really tight areas go over by hand like around wing mirrors

I often go around the tight areas by hand first, then use the PC to apply the wax to the rest of the car. Like already mentioned it helps give a thinner more even coating.

I think the machine gets you thinner coats. But do what you enjoy, no harm in that.

I really like removing by machine though.

I prefer to use a PC in applying my LSPs but it never gets done all the time. When I feel lazy setting up the PC and the proper backing plate then I just apply the LSP by hand.
