  • My first questions

I love my cars... currently on my 63rd.
I have always been into cleaning and polishing my cars and keeping them immaculate..
last year i got much more into it and i started doing some paint correction

gone from making my current supra from very matt paint to a lovely full shine..

also just done a friends focus ST

now looking at going a bit semi pro and expanding.. just at teh mo doing friends and family's cars.

I did us G3 on my supra and used to many years ago use autoglym.. but saw the light and only ever used maguiar's ever since but i never realised the different compounds and paint correction they did..

    Gonna be ordering some soon
i do use a rotary.. am i best of with the professional or stick with the scratch x etc?

also looking at the different shampoo etc avail.. wondering if to get the detailer shampoo? or stick with the NXT i use currently..

do the both finish the same and just the detailer comes in bulk..

if so i may stick to local products plus some 105 and 205. then as i start to do more cars move on to the detailer products..

i know i am gonna be asking several Q's over the next few weeks so please bare with me

You want to use Mirror Glaze or Detailer Professional Line of products as they are formulated for rotary buffers. Consumer Line products are for dual action or orbital buffers and of course hand application.

also looking at the different shampoo etc avail.. wondering if to get the detailer shampoo? or stick with the NXT i use currently..

If you use one of Detailer Line car shampoo products it will last you forever due to high dilution rate. Super Soap is great for foam gun or cannons. NxT Car Wash is super if water in your area is hard (full of chemicals) as it has softeners. Ultimate Wash & Wax can save you time if you want to wash and wax quickly.

do the both finish the same and just the detailer comes in bulk..

Detailer Line products come in large sizes so when large amount of work is expected it would be a smart way to move that direction.

if so i may stick to local products plus some 105 and 205. then as i start to do more cars move on to the detailer products..

Sounds like a good plan. If you come in contact with single stage paint then M80 Speed Glaze and M83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish may become handy as well.

Do you have/ use dual action polisher as well?
