OK Probably shouldnt be asking this Zaino or Ultimate

Mike Phillips always says: "Find something what you like and use it often".
We all have different preferences/ expectations therefore there are so many car care products on the market.
However Meguiar's offers such variety of great products that we should never be left empty handed in any situation/ detailing project.
Re: OK Probably shouldnt be asking this Zaino or Ultimate
I agree with mike phillips, If you like a certain product whether megs ultimate wax, nxt 2.0, gold class, mothers waxes, etc. etc., and use it regularly, you somehow get great results with products you like.

Your truck sure looks nice, it looks like a dodge ram.. am i right? it certainly doesn't look like it needs a more expensive wax. It looks nice as it is
Re: OK Probably shouldnt be asking this Zaino or Ultimate
I used to be a Zaino addict, I must confess...
It's awesome stuff when applied to a perfectly corrected paint surface. <-- an opinion surfaces :-)
What changed my life though, was one night, while applying yet another layer of Z5 to the hood of the Magnum and with the light in the garage exactly right, when the product 'flashed' I got a single second look into the depths and saw the 'real' condition of the paint - swirled and hologramed are not descriptive enough to describe the horror that was at the bottom of the layers. I was shocked at how bad it looked, even though when buffed out, it did indeed look 'show car shiny'.
That's what started and fueled my obsession with being able to 'correct' the paint and ultimately led me to Meguairs products. Zaino still doesn't have the products that can 'do' what I can now do with either 105/205 or D300/D301 today. Not saying -anything- bad or Negative about Zaino, it's awesome stuff, it just didn't fill the bill for me anymore. My friends used to bug me about it, 'what's in that stuff?' I was such a fanatic.
Once you spent the time, followed the directions and gotten the results you see with the DA MF System and a couple light layers of Ultimate Wax you'd probably turn away from the dark side too. Especially if you'd seen what I saw lurking in the depths of my Brilliant Black Metallic Pearlcoat when the Z5 flashed.
To the OP - if you check our friends ride with a good light - can you see anything other than perfection in his paint?
Mike

Re: OK Probably shouldnt be asking this Zaino or Ultimate
I am NOT a huge fan of Zaino, but I have Z2Pro and Z5Pro in my arsenal. Here are my positive and negatives about the product...
Positives: I am a dud when it comes to seeing a difference between product "A" and product "B", but Zaino was the first LSP I've ever tried that I think has more shine than anything I've ever used. Not a HUGE difference, but enough to know. Some say it has a plastic look, I don't think so.
Also on the positive end is that it has great durability. It is the only product that I have tried that gets me through a Canadian winter (on the horizontal surfaces). The lower door panels didn't last more than a few weeks.
Negatives: Painfully slow process to put on, let dry, take off, spray with Z6 or Z8. Feel like you have to be a chemist to add ZFX to it, mix, use, use quickly, hurry, use it faster... Also don't like all the layering. I've read people have done 25 layers. That is just silly IMO.

Now im curious, has anyone layered Ultimate Wax yet? I have only done 2 coats on each of my vehicles and I do notice a difference but 4 - 6 coats seems over kill.
