Gold class trim detailer

Does anyone know the difference in the gold class trim detailer and just an exterior protectant? I have tried the gold class trim detailer on my mud flaps as a test and want to see how long it lasts.

If it goes well, I plan on detailing my truck memorial day weekend and will treat all the exterior black trim with the gold class.

Well, the Gold Class Trim Detailer is generally meant for exterior use, though it is a little older of a product.

The Ultimate Protectant / Ultimate Black is a bit newer, might be a bit more durable.

I found that the Gold Class trim would run down the car after it rained. I stopped using it once the Ult Protectant came out.

Gold Class Trim Detailer and Ultimate Protectant are both water based dressings. UP stands out though because of the advanced polymer technology it contains which allows it to actually bond to the vinyl or plastic material much the way a sealant bonds to paint. Because of this, there is much less chance that it will simply wash away in the rain or when you wash the vehicle, which is what virtually all water based products will do under those circumstances.

With a properly cleaned and prepped surface, UP should hold up through several washings.
