I need some advice please. I detailed a guys jeep which is black with a soft top.. I did not put anything on the top, Only wash the top with meguiars car wash.. When it rains it get white streaks on the paint from the top.. It has always done that, he said it was more noticeable since the jeep is detailed.. Is there anything he can put on the top or do to the top that will no run off on the paint.. Thanks.

Sounds like it's not getting rinsed enough. I wash my softtop only with Megs Gold Class wash and I use a soft brush. Rinse it well and have never had a problem with streaking on the Jeep body. Could it be left over product (dusting) on the top that left a residue? I alway throw a clean sheet over a soft top when I polish just in case.Professional Automotive Reconditioning Services
