Meguiar's 2.0 W7207 Soft Buff Cutting Pad with DAS 6 DA
Re: Meguiar's 2.0 W7207 Soft Buff Cutting Pad with DAS 6 DA
2.0 Soft Buff pads should be used with W68DA backing plate for proper support.
As Mark mentioned above running your polisher on high speed for long period of time, not fully drying the pad before reusing it (intense steam) may cause its damage.
As I remember correctly Kestrel does not recommend pads larger than 150mm (6.5") for its DAS-6 DA polisher.
thanks for reply, backing plate is non meguiar's 6". In Europe they seling DAS 6 with
Kestrel DAS6 Dual Action Polisher x1
Meguiar's #80 Speed Glaze x1
Meguiar's #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish x1

6" BP
It mean it is wrong?? With 6" BP should be 6" pad?
Do you have a picture of this BP? I think the fault underlies in the edge of the backing plate. The BP you have might have a too sharp of an edge. When you apply pressure while doing passes, it might cause some stress marks to the pads. The Meguiar's 6" BP has a rounded edge so applying pressure wouldn't cause too much of a stress mark on the edges of the BP.
