  • Which wax on a 2010 white Civic ?

I have a white 2010 Civic Si sedan scheduled for a wash and wax this Saturday. Considering that I'll only wash, clay and wax the car, which wax would you use to get the best results ? The car was bought brand new last summer and was stored for the winter. The client doesn't want any polish or anything, just wash and wax. I rarely had to work with a white Honda.
Here are the waxes I have available at home :
    - Ultimate Liquid Wax
    - Gold Class Carnuba Plus liquid Wax
    - #21 Synthetic Sealant
    - NXT Liquidwax (original version)
    - #26 Yellow Wax liquid

This is a new customer and since they have 2 other cars, I would like to get great shine on the Civic, then maybe get their other cars for a cleanup.

    Thanks for your help.

My wife has a newer White Mitsubishi, i like the way NXT looks on it. Its hard to see where you've waxed but its really just your preference.
Am i obsessed?? A car is the second biggest financial investment for most people, why not keep it looking better than new?

Are you doing 2 coats of wax? I'd consider a cleaner/wax and wax if so.

Otherwise... Ult. Wax is likely going to look best. But the Nxt or #21 would at least have a little cleaning cleaning ability to help with the surface.

        Thanks for the quick answers.
For the price the client wants to pay, I though that one coat would do the trick.
But also considering that I may get more business with them, maybe I should do the extra work and do the 2 coats...

I used the Ultimate Polish and Ultimate wax on my dark blue Pontiac Vibe 2 weeks ago and I got awesome results. Therefore, white paint might not look the same as my dark blue with Ultimate Wax.

You'll get more of a shine off of white, not a depth of color.

I would recommend M20 if you had it.

But maybe just go with NXT.

I have a 2010 white Fit Sport, not sure if it is the same white as the Civic but I use NXT 2.0. As said earlier, not a lot of depth but it sure shines and easy to keep up.

Go with the Ultimate Wax or NXT. The synthetic waxes tend to produce a higher gloss and will be more visible on a white car.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                Remove swirls my friends.

The NXT I have is the original one, not the 2.0.
Since I doublechecked yesterday night to see if I still had enough NXT left do to a whole car and I don't believe I do, I think that I will go ahead with the Ultimate. Now that I think about it, the small amouth (like 1/8 of a bottle) I have left of NXT is from 2 or 3 years ago, may not be good anymore.

Thanks for all the answer. I will post the pictures of the Civic on MOL when I'm done.

I had a white 2009 Civic Si and used cleaner wax topped with NXT. Great shine.
