Okay, so I am fairly new to the whole detailing scene, and had a quick question about how long to wait after paint.
I picked up a used rubstrip for my front bumper on the cheap (so if i mess up I'm only out 15 bucks and my time) and went through the whole process of sanding, using filler primer, sanding, then on to duplicolor color match paint as well as clear coat. It seems to have turned out pretty good for doing this all by hand, but I want to try and get this piece looking as good as possible.
How long should I let this paint/clear dry before messing with it?
Should I treat this like a normal part of the car, and wash, claybar, buff, polish, then wax like normal, or is there a different process seeing as though it's pretty fresh still?
I'm hoping to get this to turn out great, because if I can make this look good, I found some side skirts that I can also pick up, which I've been holding off on, because I can't really afford to pay someone else to do the work right now.
Thanks!
