Hi, I just washed my sapphire black cube and used the touch up pen Nissan sells to "hide" chips on the hood. I almost regret doing this because now I can see the paint is not equal (flat like the original...) where I did the touch up. I would like to get a smooth finish. Is it possible with a Meguiars product? I thought about using Scratch X 2.0. Would that work? Thanks for the help.

did you hit it with chip with the clear coat touch up pen after applying the color, it not then thats why it is flat and not shiny. it might even say on the directions or somewhere on the bottle that it must be clear coated. -

That's it 79elcamino, that's what I meant. The level of the paint is not equal. I know you can't do it perfect, as it's not from factory like the original. I just want to know if there is a way to make it look better with a Meguiars product. Thanks.Comment

Did you buy the touch up with clear coat already mixed? Some touch up paints need to be finished with a clear coat.
I know its too late but.....
try dr chip for road rash next time or langka system. Great easy results.
