  • Can my paint in this state be fixed?

So my car is always out in the sun in the wonderful SoCal weather and well I've been busy recently to take care of my car. yesterday while washing it for the first time in several months I've noticed my paint going bad. is this something that cannot be saved?

    i.m. skeptical... of everything.

    Yeah, that is failing.

All you could do is polish/wax to try and slow it from spreading.

Looks like the start of clear coat failure. Polish and wax will slow the spread and make it look less bad.

In a situation like this, should a clay bar be used on this area & then polished or would it be better not to clay?

At that stage, claying may be better to avoid. wouldnt want to catch an edge and start pulling it up.
