  • ultimate quick detailer on black trim?

I used ultimate quick detailer for the first time this weekend. I've always applied a quick detailer to the paint finish only. However i noticed that this detailer worked quick well to blacken and shine the black plastic and rubber trim on the car. Is it 'safe' or even recommended to use UQD on black trim? Thanks.

Works pretty good on chrome too. I use it on my under carriage all the time.

I never applied it directly to my black plastic - but have gotten some on it occasionally by accident...doesn't seem to have any effect on it either good or bad.

^ Same here, when spraying, make sure its not windy. I have had cases where it mist on another car or hit the windows and be forgotten.

While using UQD on plastic and vinyl trim won't hurt it, it won't offer the same protection that something like Ultimate Protectant, All Season Dressing, etc will.

If you're just wiping down the car to remove light dust and that light dust is present on trim pieces (and really, why wouldn't it be??) then wiping it down with a little UQD and a microfiber is perfectly fine. Just don't think you can really substitute it for a proper treatment.
