  • Can I/should I use paste wax/polish with my PC

    Greetings!
I am new to detailing as I have ordered a PC 7346sp and pads and I want to detail my 2008 300C. I have been using tech 2.0 in paste and I am wondering can I use paste with my PC or should I get some liquid? I appreciate your feedback.

You can use the paste with the DA. You just have to get the wax onto the pad. Find something handy to dip the wax out of the container and rub some onto the pad. Just keep it thin on the paint and you will be fine. I think the liquid will be lot easier but you should be able to work your way through one can of paste wax.

      In a word>YUP!

Two ways I know of: One - use a putty knife and scrape a TINY roll of wax and place it on the pad. Ya don't need to slather it on heavy. This is a method I use on RVs (BIG real estate) and a 6" gold pad.

Two - 4 inch pads will fit in those big sized cans. Just tap it into the wax and start spreading.

Just remember a SMALL amount of wax is needed.

Make sense? It's early and the fingers and mind don't alway work together at this hour (LOL).

This thread will show you how to easily apply a paste wax using a D/A with 4" pads - probably the best way to use paste via a D/A. If you're going to use larger pads and some sort of knife or other tool to transfer product from the can to the pad, it is very important that you not over use the product. That's very easy to do when scooping or scraping product out of the can. When done properly, a fresh can of paste wax should still look like it's never been used, even after waxing three or four cars.
