  • 3M painters tape

I used 3M painters tape to mask my black plastic from the wax and polish, and it is not coming off cleanly. any tips for applying the tape that will make it easier to remove? Or is there something else I can use? It is very aggrivating to fight that tape after finishing my truck.

I think the green is even milder.

Get the Meguiar's tape. It doesn't cost any more it is just harder to find other than online. Sticks good and comes off clean.

Try this:Before you put the tape on the trim(this may sound funny)stick the piece of tape to your pants or shirt first, then peel it off.It makes the tape less tacky and sticky and easier to remove.

I like the Meguiar's tape, it has more "stretch" to it. Great for going around corners.

I did not know that Meguiars had tape. I guess I'll get some. I'll have to try the pants idea with the rest of my 3M tape. thanks for the ideas fellas...Joe.
