Is it ok to use Meg's products on a PC with Lake Country pads? Could that and what causes micro marring? Will Meg's pads work on a PC?

Re: I hope this isnt a dumb question
Well.. dumb is relative...
Yes Meguiars products will work with Lake County Pads. Yes Meguiars pads will work on a PC. Just check to have the recommended backing plate for whichever pads you go with.
Assuming technique was proper, micro marring would come from too strong of a pad or too strong of a product for a certain situation.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

You'll have to try much harder than that to come up with a truly dumb question!!!
To answer your last question first, yes, our pads can be used with a D/A, no problem. Our original design Soft Buff pads can be used with our W67DA backing plate, or any of several others on the market, including the one that probably came with your buffer (Porter Cable, Griot's, etc). Our Soft Buff 2.0 pads really should be coupled with our W68DA backing plate, and that plate will also fit the Porter Cable, Griot's, etc so that's an option too.
As for using our products with Lake Country pads, you bet; plenty of people do it every day and the results are fantastic. The LC line of pads are very popular and with good reason - they're just flat out good pads, simple as that.Michael Stoops

CH and Poki, you took the words right out of my mouth. Mr Stoops i gotta say i'm very impressed with your comment. One of the many reasons i'm 100% Meg's fan. I only went PC and Lake Country because of the backorder of the Megs GV. One more question, my cars are white and silver. Using M07 after swirlx a waste of time because my colors are light? Should i just jump straight to NXT?Am i obsessed?? A car is the second biggest financial investment for most people, why not keep it looking better than new?

You could always consider Ultimate Polish, that may help some. Would be milder than SwirlX, could try it after, or wait for the next detail, when less defects need removed.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

So while M07 or similar may not do a lot for a silver car, a SMAT product like M205 or Ultimate Polish will, especially with regard to improving the overall clarity of the finish.Michael Stoops
