  • To tape or not too tape...????

I have my new da microfiber kit on the way from ADS. I'm getting my truck ready and am really pumped about this product. I've read some people are taping trim and others aren't. What is everybody doing? Taping or not. I know it's supposed to be virtually dust free but will it stain the black plastic trim??
    Thanks

ummm..i think you better tape it off..coz i once buff it without taping it, the compound sort of like "stick" to my trim and i can't get rid of it until now..

Taping off trim takes a few minutes, but it can save many times that in clean up after the fact. Yes, most compounds and paint cleaners will stain the trim and taping helps to prevent that.

I've found the newer the automobile the less I have to tape. There are exceptions of course.
