    Re: Metallic Silver cars

In between washes use a speed detailer to freshen up the paint. And after a wash use the spray wax to keep the wax topped up.

Also do I remember seeing an NXT or Tech Quick wax? and if so which of the three would be better?

I guess therefore that Liquid Gold Class wax would take the 'bling' out of the metallic like the Stage 3 Canuaba wax I used did?
Quik Detailers are designed to allow for the safe removal of light dust and fingerprints without scratching the paint. Spray waxes are sort of a booster product to maintain the level of protection or increase the shine a bit between proper wax applications.

Without question, Ultimate Quik Wax is the superior spray wax - it's the only one we offer that won't stain plastic and vinyl trim, and it can be used on a warm surface in direct sunlight. It's also the only one that contains hydrophobic polymers.

As for Gold Class vs Deep Crystal Carnauba vs NXT Tech Wax 2.0 - again, when it comes to looks it's purely subjective. Just because I like the way something looks doesn't mean you'll like it too. We can guide you with comments like we made in the earlier post discussing what the general consensus is on the appearance of different waxes, but in the end you have to choose which one looks best to your eyes. It's sort of like choosing steak, chicken or seafood - and even then there are choices within each.

Hi Rappy and Michael and thanks for the replies.

I've also posted similar questions on the UK Meguiars forum and got similar advice and comments. The general consensus seems to be to use the Ultimate quick wax in between (for now, using up the tech wax) but maybe use a #7 instead of the Chrystal step 2. I may well give this ago although the thought of starting over again i.e. with the paint cleaner etc. isn't too appealing!!

I would really like to try a d/a as I have been looking at them, but have 'stayed away' as my brother in law has tried a couple and didn't rate them. Your offer Rappy to try yours/and products is fantastic and if I can't find an alternative a bit closer I may like to take you up on it.

I'd be really interested in attending a demo day and have posted on the UK site to find out more/if they do them.

For info what I may do is when I reach my 'goal' (if ever) is to post a couple of pic's showing differences. Someone out there may be in the same boat.
