  • Ultimate Wax vs. NXT 2.0 and GC

This is my 1st post on here in a very long time, and was wondering if UW had ANY light cleaners/fillers in it?Compared to NXT 2.0.Or any polishing oils in it?Compared to GC c+....I have yet to use UW yet,my walmart still dosnt have it,or UP.And am eager to try it out,but was just curious how it compares to the other otc waxes,or is it more compared to #26?Thanks

    to MOL spence82!

I'm not positive if UW has any cleaner or fillers, but I think there are not any cleaners in it (maybe fillers?). UW will not really be like #26 as that is a carnauba wax while UW is a synthetic wax.

UW is said to be the most durable Meguiar's wax yet. I personally haven't had it on my truck that long to see durability, but it sure does give a great shine and glossy feeling/look.

I'd suggest waiting until it arrives at your local retailer and then give a try out for yourself, that way you can see how you like it!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

In my personal experience UW had fantastic fillers, even better than NXT 2.0. It is a pure sealant/wax, though, and does not have cleaners in it. Make you sure you apply UW to a properly cleaned surface (wash, clay, and possibly cleaner wax first, but optional).

Compared to 26, it will offer much superior longevity, add hydrophobic polymer technology, and you may see a slightly difference in appearance as well, but that is totally subjective and varies by car and person.

Properly applied - ie a nice, thin coat - neither one will give any difficulty at all. If you've ever found NXT to be hard to remove, you've simply not applied it correctly. How to apply a very thin coat of wax with a G110v2 will give you an idea just how thin you can apply NXT (same goes for UW, or M26, or M21, M20......). While we don't really expect you to use just half an ounce of product, this exercise shows that you don't need 1/4 of the bottle to cover your car.
