  • emblem cleaning?

    hi guys..i wanna ask something...again...

    how do i clean the emblem like this pic



    as you can see, it's covered in swirls and there's something near the edges of the emblem, as i point in my pic..how do you clean it??i've tried APC and agitate it with brush but it won't do a thing..

    any suggestion??

      Is that on your Audi? If so debadge it. It would look so much better without it. Just leave the rings on the rear.

        I would suggest you try Meguiar's Body Solvent with a Qtip or even a MF towel to get in the cracks and crevices. Follow up with some Final Inspection or Last Touch for the best results.......

          Yeah.. kind of have to have a variety of things on hand and see what works.

          Q-Tip, soft brush, couple different towels maybe, and see what reaches in there.

            i don't really know how to take off the emblem....can anyone tell me??

            i've tried apc+ with brushes, at first, it seems that its clean..but after a fem minutes, it came back again..

            btw, can i use natural bristle brushes on paint??coz people usually use boar hair rite??and i can't find 'em here..

              Use dental floss to get them off. When they are off you can follow that with goo gone to get rid of the residue. After that just put down a coat of wax.

                  Mmm. Dont know. Im sure Wurth spoiler adhesive would be your best bet.

                    can i use 3M double tape or mounting tape??coz i can get them easily here..as opposed to the one you just mention..

                      I would see if 3M has an adhesive rather than use tape. You can use tape but it wont sit flush on the surface like an adhesive would.

                          can i use all purpose adhesive on it??or it should only use car adhesive??i'm afraid it will leave a mark on my car when i want to take 'em off again..

                            WD 40 once a day for a few days makes them (fall off)
                            For cleaning i use ear cotton buds.
