  • Looking for something to replace DCPC.

Hi all, new member here although I have been reading on the forums for awhile already.

Currently whenever I find some panels on my car to be abit rough from day to day driving, I usually do a quick clay followed by Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner on a polishing pad at slow speeds on my rotary.

This works fine for now, however DCPC is an old product and getting harder to find at stores here in Malaysia. I'm wondering which new product would be best suited as a replacement for me?

Main purpose of this step is not to correct swirls, rather just to clean the paint so that it is smooth/clean and ready for a fresh coat of M21/NXT/etc.

I'm considering M205 as the most suitable since it is not so aggressive and should work well as a paint cleaner. Comments?

yes, or ultimate polish, or even swirl x...its a tiny but more aggresive then 205. or maybe a cleaner wax, color x

I kinda prefer M205 to SwirlX as SwirlX isn't approved for rotary use. Plus the fact that M205 is less aggressive is probably better as this is something I do maybe once a month.

Having said so, I realize DCPC isn't either, but that seems to work fine. :P

Only thing about M205 is that I can't pick it up OTC here. Have to go straight to the distributor centers.

Will M205 be fine on the old W8006 pad (only one I have) or should I consider getting some of the newer 2.0 pads.

#205 would work fine on the older pads.

And yeah, #205 isnt OTC here much either, but we probably have more distributors, easier online ordering.

          One more vote for M205.

Great cleaner polish offering really long buffing cycle. It can be used with either polishing or finishing pad on variety different machine speeds.
