Ultimate Line

Want to purchase the complete Ultimate line. Can the compound be used instead of a clay bar? I noticed there is compound but no clay bar in the ultimate line. My car is a 2008 Infiniti G37S coupe Liquid Platinum (silver).

No, two separate processes.

You would still want the Smooth Surface Clay, and then whichever cleaner you needed.

Dont be worried about mixing product lines, or using some consumer, some pro products. Just look for the product that fits your goals.

Murr1525 is correct, Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay kit is designed to remove bonded surface contaminants like overspray, tree mist, road grime, enviromental fallout, etc. A paint cleaner like Ultimate Compound is for removing swirl marks, scratches, oxidation, stains.
