  • Best way to remove old/stubborn wax from textured trim?

I have a 2008 Avalanche with some really grey trim :/ I've tried B2B several times, but that only seems to coat and hide the wax for a few weeks. What can I use to completely remove the wax?

You can try things like an eraser, dish soap, #39 Plastic/Vinyl Cleaner, APC, Peanut Butter..

You may need to look into different towels/brushes to make sure to get into the crevices.

Thanks for the quick response, bro... Just wondering, have you used any of those yourself? What has worked for you?

I would recommend a toothbrush and degreaser or wax remover.

Try heating the trim with a hair dryer. Wax will expand when heated and make it easier to wipe off and get out of nooks and crannies.

Apply paste wax to the contaminated area and wipe clean before it dries

Skip the peanut butter......the oils just hide wax.....doesn't remove it. Make a sandwich instead!
                Black......the ONLY color!

I too have had good luck with APC and a small brush (toothbrush or small paint brush). Old wax will likely require multiple steps.
