Good news: it's coming back as Vinyl & Plastic Coating

I've used the Vinyl & Plastic Coating before its just not nearly good as the trim coating. if the Vinyl & Plastic Coating was in a "spray can" type will be good but its a spray bottle type.
whats the reason meguiar's discontinued the trim coating?

Probably VOC content... though I think the spray foams didnt sell as well.

We think you've misunderstood something here - the Vinyl & Plastic Coating is a new name and it's not quite out yet so you couldn't have used it in the past. It's also not a trigger spray product, it's an aerosol can just like the old Accent Coating or Exterior Trim Coating that this thread is referencing. If you liked either of those two you're going to like this one just as much.

What is the effect of this aerosol if it gets on the paint? Does it posses any threat to the clear coat?

No threat to the clear coat - the product actually wipes off of paint quite easily if you get some overspray on it.

Wipes off of paint real easy with a microfiber towel.

I am glad to hear this Michael. I loved the Exterior Trim Coating, especially the adjustable spray button. The Accent Coating smells and performs just like the Exterior Trim Coating, so I'm really stoked about the new Vinyl & Plastic Coating. Will the new product have the adjustable nozzle as the Exterior Coating use to have?
