Re: Your Favorite Car Care Brand?

Ok, now i really have a reason to use meguiars more.. I used collinite 845 on my dad's calypso red bmw, yes, its a dark shade of red. One problem i thought was isolated was smearing. Something i rarely experienced with NXT 2.0, particularly the paste. The paste seems to be a bit more difficult to work with than the liquid so you have to work it more methodically. The plus side is removal reveals a very even smooth finish.

Collinite for still offers better durability, but seems to require a bit more learning to avoid smearing. Its not a simple wipe-off the haze thing, as doing this only removes the top layer of the hazed wax.. NXT 2.0 is a lot more straightforward in my opinion.

With this, I'll use the colloinite on my silver car more, and maybe focus the NXT 2.0 on the bigger, darker colored cars I use.

But i love these 2 products, I won't stop using any of the 2 for whatever reason.. Maybe that's why even with the great number of awesome products out there, NXT 2.0 or meguiars for that matter has a very strong position in the market.

On some of the Corvette forums there is lots and lots of encouragement torwards Adams Polishes etc. Some guy named Junkman with lots and lots of how to videos. Seems to be very pricey? Any feedback? I bought a gallon of their detail spray. Smells good but I think I like Mequiar's Ultimate better. I would like to stay with one brand that works great!

Adam's polishes was sold here before (few years ago), seems that it didn't get as much following. Here the prices (if i recall) were similar to meguiars/mothers. Should be as good as meguiar's quik detailer, but the ultimate quik detailer is more advanced and is likely to be better than the adam's detailer.

I have a few non-Meguiar's products that see regular use.

Only Meguiar's is a company that I can turn to and know it will just work. I have quite a few gallons of the D-Line products, some that have replaced a long standing product in my arsenal.

I really want to try some M21 to test the durability, then my entire arsenal would be Meguiar's products.

M21 is supposed to be more durable than the NXT 2.0, so i think you'll like it. It can also be applied via rotary buffer too.. Ultimate wax aside, and all things equal, m21 should be the most durable wax from megs.
