Re: wanna ask something b4 1st detailing
it is normal to need more than one application.
You can consider trying terry cloth if you wanted, but it can leave some marks of its own. You would use terry for an application or two, then smooth foam. Just something to try maybe.
On the bright side, the SMAT products like SwirlX / UC do seem to work at least ok with the cheaper kind of buffers. The older style ones really needed the fancier buffers like G110/220.

Re: wanna ask something b4 1st detailing
Hey man, i just did my first full detail on my car today,
I set out two days for me to do the job, since its your first time, trust me, it will take longer than you think, even if you have to wait a week longer for that extra time its worth it, i'd rather work hard and be happy with the results, than rush and waste all the hard work.
Good luck

Re: wanna ask something b4 1st detailing
Hard to say.... we've kind of gone back and forth a bit on steps... To wash, clay, SwirlX, Wax, Wax.... 4 hours maybe, if we arent focusing on defect removal, and keep moving. Could take longer when we take in the time for the wax to dry....

Re: wanna ask something b4 1st detailing
If it were to rain mid-waxing, and you had to remove the wax after the rain stopped/wax dried, you'll probably have streaky results. A second coat of wax could help that, and would make sure the protection was still even.

Re: wanna ask something b4 1st detailing
Not a tint expert, but safer to leave it alone for now.
You can wax windows, some people like it, some dont. I use RainX, some like it, some dont. Just have to try if you want.
As far as if it rains, just wash or QD when it is done raining, and carry on from where you stopped.
