  • Detailing Sprays??

    Hey guys,

I just wanted to ask what are the differences between UQD, quick detailer, last touch and final inspection. Also, what are all the things that detailing sprays can be used for? I've never used them before and was thinking of buying some...

    Thanks, BMW-5

    Re: Detailing Sprays??

Quick detailer, last touch and final inspection are essentially the same product from different meguiars lines consumer, detailer and mirror glaze respectfully.

Now that's not to say they are exactly the same as final inspection is a body shop safe detailer meaning it will not effect the spraying of automotive paints.

The advantage to last touch and final inspection is that they are from professional lines offered by meguiars which makes them available in larger quantities. Last touch is also dilutable at a 1:1 ratio with water.

UQD is most similiar to synthetic spray detailer M135, which contain some hydrophobic properties.

As for uses: they serve as good dust removal or some utilize them in the drying process to reduce the risk of water spotting either after wash or rain. Many detailers will go over a car with a spray detialer once they've finished to make sure all LSP (last step product) residue is removed before returning it to a customer, etc.

I use Last Touch as a clay lubricant as well as dust removal. I'll also mix it with deionized water in a battery sprayer and wash the car with it using microfiber cloths to wipe it off.

UQD/#135 are not for claying, the ywould be for light dust remove, and leave a little polymer coating behind.

The others can be used for claying or dust removal, but no coating left behind.
