Re: S.M. Arnolds foam pads
I'm personally not a fan of them, and I dont know any detailers that use them.
But, I know QUITE a few body shops that use them, plus they've been around forever, so that must mean something......right? Maybe not, lol.
Give'em a shot and let us know how they work out for you! Post pics.

Re: S.M. Arnolds foam pads
I've used (I think they are called tufbuf) pad both the yellow that is considered polishing and the wool.... Wool is excellent, washes cleanand can be used atleast a dozen or more times. The yellow is quite agreasive bit does correct... I've done some cars with the yellow pad and have gotten some marring with 151 and have had to come back with the da on Megs yellow pad to clean it up but as I detail boats with hard clear coats I use this pad exclusively because it's 8 inches and definitely beats up gel coats
I have also used the black labeled as their polishing pad and would rate that about the "gentleness" as a Megs yellow pad
Hope that helps ... Btw my experiences with the yellow black and foam are on rotary and may ne different with a Da

Re: S.M. Arnolds foam pads
thanks for the input. i'll be trying them anyway since i just got them. still can't afford to buy meg pads. and will try to post a pic on the results of the pads. by the way, what i bought was the 7" Speedy Foam curved edge cool-it pads.
what i got was the ffg: (based on the label guide)
green- 60ppi (Specially designed for light compounding and paint oxidation removal on clear coat finishes)
blue-70ppi (Used for polishing. Eliminates swirl marks and prevents paint burning or greying)
black- 80ppi (Used for polishing. Eliminates swirl marks and prevents paint burning or greying)
thanks!
