  • How Do We Get Rid of Wax Residues On Trim?

    Hi Everyone!

    Merry Xmas!

So, as mention above, what is the best way to remove those white residues that we have accidentally stained on the trim? Is it advisable to use those abrasive solution eg; Swirl X or Sratch X to do the job?

Isopropyl Alcohol or Mineral Spirits and a small brush or Q-Tip works or a commercially available product called Wax Blaster.

Peanut butter, smooth not chunky. A pink school eraser. Either one will do the job.

M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner - it works well on exterior trim: plastic, rubber, vinyl:

for tough stains can be used with paint brush or soft toothbrush.

Getting wax off of trim can be a very difficult task. As people have mentioned above there are many different ways of trying to get the wax off. I have tried several of these methods and no fense to anyone, but I found that the peanut butter trick did not work as well for me. What did how ever was some APC 10:1 and and old toothbrush.

Agreed... APC works well. I mix it 50/50 with water and use a tooth brush.

....... I also don't get wax on trim, if I can help it.

M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner or APC. Use a terry towel or old toothbrush to agitate.

Apply wax to infected area and wipe clean before it dries. 10 seconds and you'll be done. Its just that simple
