  • M40 removal?

hey guys, as some of ya know, i applied M40 to my snowmobile seat yesterday. However, since it leaves a slippery feeling id like to remove it once i start riding my snowmobile. What is the best product to use to remove the residual M40 on top of the seat that causes slipperiness. Should i use APC+, QID to something else. Id like to re apply QID after i remove the M40 to keep some of the UV Protection on the seat and i believe the QID wont make the surface slippery unlike M40.

    Let me know guys!

Go ahead and use the QID and rub it in well with a cotton terry cloth. It will allow QID to clean to the best of it's abilities.

APC would certainly be best for complete removal, if you find the QID doesnt remove enough.

Try typing M39 on the MOL search feature. I think you will find it's just the ticket for what you need. There are plenty of forum members that have described their experience with it and had good results. Hope this helps.

i know about M39, i just down own any, but i do own APC+ and QID.

So maybe what ill do is use APC+ to remove the M40 and then QID to follow up with for UV protection etc

Go with the apc+. It will remove it for you.

Before you for the full removal route have you tried wiping it down with a dampened microfiber? That usually will remove any slippery surface oils from leather in my vehicle.

And I do use QID weekly to clean the leather with no slippery residue.

well wouldnt full removal before QID be better as there wont be any chance of residual M40 left on seat

                  Re: M40 removal?

M40 is a cleaner/conditioner for leather. Why would you not want some of that on the seat? I think I'm hearing that you just don't want the seat to be slippery but clean and conditioned, right? By wiping it down with a moist MF you remove some of the surface oils that make it slippery and yet leave it clean and conditioned.

                  Just my opinion.
