I would spray APC in there, then agitate it with a brush. Then I would take a shop vac to get all the leftovers out. Finally, id take my brush and wrap a MF around the handle to get any left over moisture out.

I second the idea of a brush and air hose. Spray in a little cleaner and let it set for a few seconds. Agitate it with the brush and blow it out with an airhose (or if you do not have access to an airhose, use a strong vacuum/crevice tip to pull it out.)

ps, if you are using an airhose, you are going to need @ least 70+ psi or else its not going to actually blow it out.

Try using chopsticks and have a microfiber on the other end of it.

I like most of the suggestions. Trying to bunch up a MF, or detaling brushes. IF you can pop it, saturate with APC and then spray out, thats another option worth mentioning.

This is also where having an air compressor comes in handy. Most of it you could blow out.

BTW, did you try removing it? It might slide out.

A lot of those little hidey holes will just pop out, especially on GM vehicles. Might want to think before trying in a customers car (unless you know for sure if its pop in/pop out), but on your own give it a shot.

    I use this:

    Brush

It is 12" long and has stiff enough bristles to clean well. I have several of these and use them on everything from wheels, underhood cleaning, fuel filler doors/gas caps, around emblems, and interiors, too. It is a phenomenal brush with a ton of uses.

I would spray an all purpose cleaner in the door pocket, use the brush to agitate, then used compressed air to remove the cleaner. It works wonders and you'll have a perfectly clean pocket.
